wav files cause reset on M500

I tried to play a wav file in Windows Media Player on my SPV M500 and it caused the phone to do a soft reset.

I was in file explorer, looking at a mix of wav fils and mp3 files on my MMC card, played the mp3's, tried to play a wav and it looked like an unrecognised format (no icon) and the phone switched off and then booted back up again.

Is this normal? I am also having power button problems (spearate post) and am about to send it back. Or is it just me?
