Sending/Receiving SMS through C500 with PDA

Hi Folks, with my trusty PDA and old SE T68i and then T610 I was able to use 'SMS Manager' to send, receive and Sync SMS messages from/to my iPAQ 4150 PDA. So far I have had no luck with the C500 though - I have tried both SMS Manager and Connect2Phone but they don't seem to 'see' the C500.

Has anyone got these apps working with a C500 or is there something else I should be looking at software-wise.
