Guest Wastedyuthe Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 It may be a silly question, but I really can't find any option to detect other bluetooth phones and connect to them, can anyone tell me if the C500 can do this? My friends have got Nokia's and can do this easily, being able to transfer files easily between the phones. All mine can do is be detected by other phones.
Guest Wastedyuthe Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 So I take it with all the viewing and no replies there is no way to actually do this with this phone? How silly to have bluetooth and no option to use it to connect to other phones, even though you have an option in the settings to make your phone discoverable to others.

Guest cold_fire Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 Ok u have been told how 2 pair with devices ,in order to recieve files via BT from a paired phone go to Start>Settings>Beam and select Recieve incoming beames .For u to send files via BT to a paired phone u have to download an application ,it is called Smart Explorer ,u can find a trial at www.binarys.com .
Guest jporch316 Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 You also need to set your bluetooth to dicoverable - and there is also a program called mobiluck (approx $18) which is more user friendly but does the same as smart explorer.

Mobiluck is yet another free benefit to Plus members. Another great reason to Join MoDaCo Plus :) Edited August 18, 2005 by Confucious
Guest Wastedyuthe Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 What a rubbish idea- to have bluetooth on a phone that can't even use it to transfer files to others unless you pay for a program to do so. With this and the 'Tsss' noise problem (which has prompted me to purchase a dedicated MP3 player instead) this phone is getting worse and worse.

Knew i should have typed "from time to time.." Edited August 18, 2005 by jamesb
Guest jporch316 Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 What a rubbish idea- to have bluetooth on a phone that can't even use it to transfer files to others unless you pay for a program to do so Smart explorer is free and easy to use and will transfer files of any sort to almost any bluetooth device. Never had the tss problem - trick with smartphones is dont listen to all the hype - and theres a way around everything. almost..........
