Hi y'all

I was wondering if there is an easy install creator to install all programs at once, very handy I think for after a reset.

To install .cabs or even .exe, ??and even apps with its own self installer??

Cheers

Hello. Welcome to MoDaCo.

It is not actually advisable to install all appplications at once (single session). Some programs which includes registry modifications needs to be checked for compatibility and the best way to check is to restart the device. Its a good habit to have the phone refresh its registry once a new app is installed. That way, you can isolate which app messed up your registry (just in case).

For CAB and HME files, you can do the usual copy to Accessories folder then execute from there or you can also have a third-party software help you with the installation process just like what is mentioned here.

As for the EXE files (Win32 setup launchers) , you really have to launch them on your PC to install.

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks pzee!

Well since you put it that way, seems like I shouldnt be so lazy :)

I guess I will just make a CD with all the programs, games and applications on it for easy resets!

Thanks again!

Hey guys. I am extremely new to smartphones and I have a question related to this thread: what should I do if an exe file , intended for the smartphones starts on the pc but after that installation stops and nothing goes to the phone??! Are some exe files special? Is there smth special to do to them?

Hi.

There are a couple of things you need to check:

1. Is your phone application-unlocked?

http://www.modaco.com/This_is_how_to_app_u...ne-t206929.html

2. Is the EXE (setup launcher) really intended for the Smartphone? Which EXE are you trying to open? We can help you figure it out if you can provide us with the name or maybe a screenshot.

3. Do you have enough space on your phone? Installers dump a temporary file to the phone during installation. Ensure that you have enough space on your phone, twice bigger than the size of the file you are trying to install. On your phone, check if there are remnants of failed installations. Open \Storage\windows\AppMgr\Install then delete any CAB file you see inside.
