Guest shengs Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I'm having a weird problem with my SMT5600. I just got the phone a few days ago. The USB connection would take a long time to connect, and then sometimes it would connect and immediately disconnect. This also includes the AC adaptor. Does this mean there's something bad with the USB connector? Is there a firmware that fixes this? I've searched Audiovox's site, but couldn't find anywhere for the firmware. It would connect after awhile, but this is a big pain. Anyone know what's going on here? I've done a hard reset, but now i'd like to restore all my old settings as well....
Guest Will Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 any other activesync devices attached? you can only have one thing attached at a time without separate switching software.

Also, the AC mini-USB adapter has the same problem as well. It's weird, after around 5-10 minutes it will then detect the smartphone connected to the PC. At least it still works, but it's very annoying when I want to sync or charge, and I have to wait 5-10 minutes before it starts. When it does start, the first 2 minutes or so it would connect and disconnect. Then finally stay connected. There has to be something weird with the USB connector. It was working right away the first few times I synced, but now I have to wait.
