Guest dan005 Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 I want to use Skype on my pc to make international phone calls. However, investing in a high quality headset/skype phone seems silly as i've got that kit right here in my c500. So is there any way I can use the C500 as a USB phone to call via Skype, as this seems like a neat solution to me. Cheers for your help guys, Dan.
Guest Paraklas Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 With the right set of Windows drivers and a good application I don't see the reason you can't use your C500. Question is.. does such program exist?

Guest M@rkC Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 Only free for 30 days... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not! The website says "iSkoot Call Forwarding unlimited use for FREE" - This is only for incoming calls, but that should be sufficient for most people; even then, the one-time fee of $9.95 to allow you to make calls is hardly expensive :) Cheers, Mark.

You are charged via Skype for the cost of forwarding the call to your mobile. ie you pay for the leg of the call from your PC to your phone at the Skype to mobile rate. It also means that Skype has to be active on your PC at all times. It is not a true Skype client, just a call forwarding/diversion service. There is a Skype client for Smartphone, which I use on my C500, but it only extends to the messenger functions.
