Dead Handset

My M2000 handset has suddenly died on me (was working when I left my apartment, wasn't on when I got to work!); won't turn on, soft reset or hard reset.

When I plug it into Mains Power, I get a weak Orange light. If I take the battery out and plug it into Mains Power I get a strong Orange light, but it still fails to work.

Any ideas of how to fix it, or am I going to need to contact Orange to get a replacement? I'm out of the country for a while, so I really need to fix it if I can.

I'd next try removing the sim battery and sd-card, then leave it overnight to completely drain all of the batteries (including the in-built backup one). Not promising much, it sounds completely dead.

Thanks for the advice. Tried it but sadly didn't help; seems like I've got to wait three weeks till I get back and get a replacement. That's going to be a challenge.... :)
