M500 - little problems...

My M500 (upgraded from an MPX200) is great - all the waiting was frustrating but worth it in the end - but I have a couple of niggles which someone might be able to help with.

1. The camera: it seems to freeze the rest of the phone so that even if the phone dialer or Today screen is displayed, it doesn't respond. Eventually you can regain control of the phone (after a couple of minutes) but it's frustrating in the meantime. Any ideas on how to make the app behave better?

2. Notes in contacts, calendar and tasks. I use notes in Outlook items to record details about the appointment, contact or task but they don't seem to be displayed on the M500 now. I am sure that when I first got the phone the notes were visible but now it's just a blank space. Do your notes display or am I imagining that they used to show up?
