Unidentified USB Device

I've got a M500 that is three days old. Everything seems to have been fine until this morning, I had to do a soft reset as it had hung while searching for bluetooth devices.

When it restarted it came up with the message in the picture attached (ignore the filename in the box, this is a grab from another site but was a guide to installing Bluetooth on a different device so not the resolution to my problem)

I can cancel the box and it will load the rest of the OS but I am then unable to turn on Bluetooth, if I try it brings up an error window saying "There is no Bluetooth hardware installed on the device" and any further Bluetooth options are greyed out.

The only way I can get this to work is to leave it plugged in to Activesync when I soft reset the phone and then it will work, I can unplug cable and bluetooth will continue working but obviously this it not exactly convenient when I am not near a pc.

I have hard reset at least a dozen times and it rebuilds fromthr ROM beautifully, except it doesnt fix the issue with bluetooth. Any ideas please?

are you giving full hard resets, without the 'bigstorage' hack?? if you are, try to just let it hard reset normally.. if you are just hard resetting it normally, i suggest you contact orange for a replacement/repair..

Cheers for the reply, am doing full resets on the device so would have thought that this would have done the job. Unfortunately not.

Still trying to sort it if there are any other suggestions?

I called Orange and they have passed details to their Tech department as this is not on their system, so waiting for an FW code to come back from them for that too.

Just wanted to close this one off.

Eventually this went back to the reseller, it was a problem that Orange had never heard of but they finally generated the error code and I received my new (and suprisingly brand new, not refurbed) phone two days later, touch wood all is now fine.
