Dopod 585 - Text Input Problem

Hi

I've got a Dopod 565 for free, but i've got a little problem

when entering text, the standard setting is chinese (i'm not chinese and can't speak/write/read this language) and changing to english t9 oder multitap is very complicated and takes much time

so, does anyone know how i can remove this extra layer of text input, that the text input is like the one with my moto mpx200?

if not, i won't be taking this mobile, this is too annoying

p.s.:

or does even somewhere exist a new rom with a complete english ROM without chinese stuff?
