Guest hunyango_uk Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 i know some of the guys here work for orange. i'm just wondering, if you guys can explain a bit further how the pay monthly bills work. co'z i'm on a monthly tariff, it is in my understanding that the tax is included for what i pay my monthly bills. example: my c500's is on £25/month (120) - orange care - 5£/month other is on £15/month tariff (120 + 30 text) this is what i pay monthly: £50-£60 now i believe that orange care's tax is already included in the orange care. now why do i pay a lot even though i don't consume all my free minutes and i don't even use the gprs and i don't even use it for text. just for calling mobile phone and landline. can you please explain it to me. i believe that i have to pay for £45/month. £10-£15 might be not that much for some of you here. but for me it's too much, i can buy so many things with it.
Guest mupwangle Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 Unless you've got a deal the £15pm is actually £19 inc vat. Therefore your bill is £44+£5 insurance (per phone) so you are looking at at least £49.
Guest hunyango_uk Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 well, if that's the case why do they charge me now with 2.55 w/ non dd charge. before this is not on the bill, and how about the vat for £25 monthly? and i'm only paying orange care for one phone.
Guest Matt Kirby Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 Don't know if this helps make it clearer at all, but I think that the insurance (Orange Care) is exempt from VAT, but does include Insurance Premium Tax (IPT). Everything else on your phone bill is quoted ex VAT, with VAT added at the end.
Guest Confucious Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 Isn't explained on your bills? They should show a breakdown of what you are being charged for.
