M500 - SMS contacts screen

Hi, I have the SPV M500 from orange. Where I have a contact with, say, a work, mobile and home number, when I go to select the contact from the text message screen it lists the name three times and shows ALL the numbers rather than just the mobile number?

Is this normal or have I screwed something up?

Also is there a way of restricting contacts shown when texting to just mobile numbers in the same way only email addresses are shown when emailing ? I'm sure my old smartphone used to show only numbers listed under mobile for SMS.
