Guest shengs Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 I've recently switched from a Treo 650 to a SMT5600. Here are my observations: Some things I missed about the Treo 650 that the smartphone doesn't have: - keypad! - no touch screen :) - navigating the favorites (Treo had tables of the favorites instead of just a list) - assign customized ringtones (I heard this can be done with a hack) - can't turn the screen off after use, have to wait for the display to go off by itself - no restart/reset button when it crashes - can't read Excel docs out of the box - doesn't sync Notes/Memos from Outlook - doesn't take a regular SD card, needs miniSD Things I love: - it's so much smaller! This is the best... - The T9 is useful on the numeric keypad - customizable home screen (I'm using a cool Grid screen) - much cheaper than the Treo, almost half price - battery lasts much longer - File Explorer, you can easily transfer files from PC to phone
