Guest dolphinsmile Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 This may interest a few people. A change of policy at Orange means they will now take into account how long you have been a customer and how much you spend each month regardless of your tariff. This came into effect on the 15th of august. Before this date I had few upgrade options but after this date I’m allowed almost any phone in the shop. Choose wisely.
Guest inlinesk8a Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 i dotn understand what will they do?
Guest JOEJOETHEJOEY Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Why would this affect your decision to change tariff then when you say: regardless of your tariff <{POST_SNAPBACK}> :??:
Guest Confused Stu Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Previous Orange only looked at how much your monthly call tariff was, so if you spent £180 per month, but most was on texts, MMS, GPRS and extra minutes and your actual monthly contracted minutes only came to £25 - when you came to upgrade you'd only qualify for the £25pm deals! If the above is now true then Orange now look at how much you actually spend and you'll qualify for the £180pm deals, which'll get you a phone MUCH chpeaper. :) This should mean a much fairer system as those people who use their phone for everything except calls won't be penalised and those who up their contract just before renewal time to get a better deal won't get rewarded. Good move Orange. ;)
Guest Confucious Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Stu - Good luck for tomorrow. I sttill think you're mad doing it again but hope you have a great day and it all works out well for you both.
Guest Confused Stu Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Thanks Confucious - I have to admit to being a bit nervous! Everything's booked and arranged so it should be fine. I just need the torrential rain in Kent to stop before tomorrow now.... :)
Guest mcwarre Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Stu, I did a check (http://sky.wsieurope.com/weather/uk/seast.shtml) and it seems the weather will be fine.
