Guest markhammill Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Hi all, I'm getting my new C550 on Saturday hopefully. Is there a list of games/apps that run fullscreen on QVGA display? If not, could we start one here.
Guest beersoft Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 ok, from my list of game installed on my phone the following are full screen firedrill (even works on the ppc) dreamway (supersprint style game, works on ppc as well) eclipse (with muffs patch) later Owen
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Eclipse has a bug which muff is looking into, but Super Slyder works ok from Astraware http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=225037
Guest Disco Stu Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 Super Slyder is fantastic. Pocket Minigolf 2 works on the C550 in all its full glory - the new 'Lost World' course add-on is particularly good.

Could you point me in the right direction? Ta!
Guest Disco Stu Posted August 19, 2005 Report Posted August 19, 2005 I can't find Dreamway for Smartphone either :?:

Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 Hi Markhammill Snails works on my C550 75% screen top left with the start menu as a background and Jeyo Personaliser works a treat. For an additional list of games and apps tested on the C550 check out this link
Guest markhammill Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 Thanks Dr Strange. You're wright Snails worked fine this time. Jeyo Personalizer does work but on mine, but when you scroll up and down in the menu the highlighted number and text appear in the top left of the screen. I have moved it to the working list thought as it dosen't affect the function of the program.
Guest Jamma14 Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Anyone know how PicoDrive, Legacy and Duke3D work on the 550?? And of any plans on fixing these if they don't work?
Guest muff Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Eclipse has a 'reworked' exe that runs it full screen now
Guest Radeon12345 Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Doom works on the C550 in full screen :) ;)
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Hey Radeon12345 how did you manage to get Doom working :??: mine just comes up with a grey screen and locks up. Which version of Doom are you running :??: are you using the standard wad files :??: Thanks

Sounds like one is working while the other doesn't...
Guest davidhorn Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 I'm working on a list of games that I know work on the C550 - at the moment it's located at http://www.smartgamer.org/games It's fairly limited at the moment, but I'm adding to it all the time and I'd really appreciate it if people could let me know what I've missed. Cheers!
Guest Dr_StrangeTrick Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Taken from my post here Chess, Valentin Lliescu Smart Pairs, Lawrence Patricio Tangram, Lawrence Patricio Mastermind, Somewhere on MoDaCo
Guest davidhorn Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 Ta - I've updated the list. I can't find the Mastermind game though, but it might just be my lazy searching! ;-)
Guest Pixeled Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 Thank you very much for that list davidhorn! :o Just what i was looking for...
Guest davidhorn Posted September 21, 2005 Report Posted September 21, 2005 Updated to include Astraware's updated games and a few others. In addition, I believe PDAmill are working on making their games QVGA compatible.
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 Has anyone else got Doom working from Gears' post: http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php?op...ticle&artid=461 mine works, but is very choppy indeed. Just wondered whether it was like that for everyone or not... cheers Mark
Guest Jamma14 Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 (edited) Has anyone else got Doom working from Gears' post: http://www.coolsmartphone.com/index.php?op...ticle&artid=461 mine works, but is very choppy indeed. Just wondered whether it was like that for everyone or not... cheers Mark <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeh tis choppy, but I think that is an old version that just detects the screen size correctly - Rooz has already updated Wolfenstein to run perfectly on our 550s so I'm sure the other ports will follow soon. Edited September 22, 2005 by Jamma14
Guest markdotpeters5 Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 I tried Wolfenstein, the overall screen size fits the c550 screen, but the actual game is windowed... am I missing something?
Guest martin Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 I tried Wolfenstein, the overall screen size fits the c550 screen, but the actual game is windowed... am I missing something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>From the game menu go to Change View. Use up and down to adjust the view size and then press action button to accept :o
Guest martin Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 I have created a temporary pinned topic for quick reference to C550 QVGA games. http://www.modaco.com/Smartphone_QVGA_full...es-t229338.html We can continue all QVGA game discussions in this thread :o
