what are these file

after I download a home screen Zip file, it contains some of XML and HSD. What should I do with them.

I'm not sure about the 'HSD' but the XML (if it happens to be a homescreen XML file) should be at \Storage\Application Data\Home of your phone.

Files which are not packed into CAB or HME usually comes in XML plus JPEGS or GIFs then zipped when shared. If in case you see graphic files inside the zip file (jpg, gif), they should also be at \Storage\Application Data\Home together with the XML.

The homescreen XML have *.home.XML file name-extension.
