Homescreens not available to select

Recently the majority of homescreens i am adding to my phone are not appearing in the homescreen list when i go to change it. Strangely some do.

They are .xml homescreens which i am placing in storage/application data/home just like i have always done. I have tried removing the majority of homescreens from storage/application data/home as it was a bit cluttered, and even reset the phone after adding them - to no avail.

Anyone else have this problem / know how to fix it?

Hi,

Things you need to check:

1. Your homescreen XML code. I use XMLWriter to validate my xmls prior to transferring to phone.

2. XML name itself. Smartphone homescreen XMLs have '.home.xml' as names. Example: 'scrattyrat.home.xml'

The xml was all valid, i didnt know you had to put .home.xml in the filename, i just had it as .xml
