Spectec wifi prevents stanby on Qtek-S110

i have recently got a Qtek S110, lovely device, but since adding a spectec wifi card, the phone no longer goes into standby after the set timeout, it just turns the screen light off, but doesnt turn the pda off. the result is it looks like its off, but runs the battery flat in a few hours.

ive tried the updated spectec SDW-820 card driver, and the driver posted on Qteks site, same problem, ive also tried turning the power management on the card to max power, same problem.

ive also searched the forum for about an hour, but couldnt find anything relevent.

has anyone seen a fix to make the phone power off properly ??
