Guest belfast-biker Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 http://www.belfast-biker.com/read_about_this_scam/ This guy pissed me off over a tiny amount of money and ebay can't do squat, but I don't want to end up in court! Yeah, it's a tiny amount, but I wanted anyone else reading his feedback (the link is in his feedback) to see the whole picture....
Guest Disco Stu Posted August 21, 2005 Report Posted August 21, 2005 I'm no lawyer but I wouldn't worry about court action. I imagine that, at first, you would get a letter from his solicitor asking you to move the offending webpage. Since you have published the facts (albeit from your angle) they would have trouble proving libel. The involvement of legal process is surely of more benefit to you than him. As your topic title is incomplete I'm not sure whether you are worried about him, Ebay or indeed me as a moderator of this forum ! I don't see any problem here in any case. I hope you get this resolved anyway.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Is the site down at the moment? I do appear to be able to load the page.
Guest tsutton Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 The ebay page description has this text... "The seller of this item is away until 22 August 2006. You may purchase the item, but there may be a delay in processing your order. Learn more" with the Learn More link as: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/stores/contex...eller-away.html Did he post it as recorded delivery? If so, ask him for the tracking number, but remember, he won't reply until he's back on 22nd Aug.
