you need a program called "windows blinds" or "theme manager", they skin your whole GUI

my current GUI posted below. it's a dark longhorn theme, i'm after something brighter like the one above...

cool, how did you find that??? i searched on every variation of "windows" "windows XP" etc...

Call it practise here :)

Basically I went to the Windows Blinds site then had a quick search for Windows.net in the two main sections.

i actually tried it but took it off again after a few minutes, it's too cutesy... back to my black longhorn theme...

longhorn, seems a bit weird still calling it that.

Does anyone know a good weather forecast program?

All I want is an icon or image on the desktop which looks good and shows the temperature and weathers its cloudy etc..

The ones in these skins look good where do i get them, ideally i would like a free program BTW ! :)

Use the desktop X theme app as lited above, it has weather etc available as seperate plugins or intigrated in a complete theme as in the image in my post above.

Dont these Desktop X thingys eat your RAM?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

lol, yes. loads of it, but if you've got a gig or more you shouldn't notice the difference. my work system has 512MB and it runs ok as long as i don't have to much other stuff on the go.
