NEW MPX FROM MOTOROLA?

Will there be any new MPX mobiles from MOTOROLA? As I heard MOTOROLA cancelled to produce MPX series and no more new MPX devices will be produced. Is it true? Do you have any opinion?

I heard that Motorola cancelled their contract with Chi Mei, the people who used manufacture their MPX range. This isn't to say there won't be more MPX Smartphones. There's already information out about a new Pocket PC Phone Edition called the Motorola Q (although I don't know who would be manufacturing the devices these days) that is coming soon.

I wouldn't worry, Motorola are unlikely to write off the Smartphone market even if their recent attempts have met with some problems.

If you go to ruttensoft.com, look in the upper right and you should see a link called MPx. It is supposed the next mpx series model from motorla. Apart from that I have no information wether motorola is going to continue production of the mpx series or not.

That device (originally referred to as the MPX300 until released in Asia as the MPX) has since been cancelled. Afraid the info is very much out of date by about a year and a bit. Nothing new there...
