I am not yet decided if i will make the upgrade to C550 ,the only thing i would like to c in C500 is 1.3 MP camera wich C550 has ,but the quality of the pictures is not to good as i saw in some samples .The best idea would b for me to buy a digital camera ,and mayb later change the C500 for something like Moto Q wich i like very much .

I would probably be asking whether it's too early to jump onboard the QVGA train rather then dismiss it altogether. It may be that the C550 at the moment has more then just a few software issues but the way I see it is that ALL Smartphone software from now on MUST be compatible with QVGA Smartphones or risk damaging the products shelve life (will anyone be buying low res Smartphone software in a year or twos time?).

I'm personally happy enough waiting for the right Smartphone on the right deal to come along. I certainly can't see the appeal of getting a new C500 when it's already out of date when I could just wait before commiting.

At the moment the only advantage appears to be the resolution of the screen and the camera.

There's some software breakage, so it's only for those who are more tech savvy IMHO (they might be able to find tweaks for some apps). Or those who take a lot of pictures.

I got the C550 for the sole purpose of making my software compatible with QVGA. For me it is an improvement over the C500 because of the joystick, button issues, camera and display, but certainly not worth the big $$ I paid to get it. If I didn't develop software, I would probably wait for it to be an older generation phone so that I could buy it off of ebay for :)
