Guest zippy172 Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 It would be nice if there was a way you set the "new message" to *always* default to sending a text message, or at least when tapping New, it then asks you what type of message you want to send... Plenty of times I've composed a new message, to then discover when trying to pick a contact, only the email addresses are listed !
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 (edited) The "prewritten SMS" trick works on the M500 as well as Smartphones, so you could use that It works on File Type associations, and a "dummy" file to trigger the action. You can have a shortcut in your Start Menu (or, like I do, an Icon in Spb PocketPlus) which will always open a new SMS. If you want to specify a number to send the message to, and/or a message body, you can do that - but you could just as easily have a blank message open. I'll knock up a CAB file for it, cos it's easier than doing all the registry settings by hand [edit] Here you go Install the CAb on your M500 and it'll set everything up for you [/edit]New_SMS_shortcut_PPCPE_v1.CAB Edited August 24, 2005 by chucky.egg
