Guest moroni Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 ok, so i have taken delivery of my lovely new M2000, which is keeeping me entertained greatly so far (orange premier 600 upgrade @ £33/mth and a free phone :) ) can someone please tell me how to get the flippin wifi to let me get on the net via my router at home. router is set to allow any and all connections to it. 'wifi' works in that it sees the network, but it doesnt seem to do anything else at all, and when i go into wireless LAN manager it is always just 'scanning network' are there any specific settings i need to change? i thought i had it done already as it is set to connect via 'my work network' where ever it appears, but it always wants to connect via the GPRS side instead. like i said, i am sure it works as the icon on the top bar (kindof looks like an antenna with a dot on top of it) every so often has a circle around it followed by some arrows going in and out of it, but if i press the explorer button up jumps connecting to orange via gprs. does anyone have an idiot proof method of getting this working at all? many thanks moroni
Guest jsisson Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 I had some probs using wifi after about a month or so. It worked fine, and then one day it stopped connecting. i suggest a bacup and then hard reset - worked for me. or check the settings or your wireless gizmo - do you have WPA/WEP, or does it only alow preset MAC Adresses access. The latter of these two will result in no error messages on your phone, just no connection. hope this is of use
