SPV M500 how to get caller name displayed?

Just got an Orange SPV M500 and very pleased with it!

But for the life of me I can't work out the logic behind how it decides (or not!) to display the name of the caller.

From a few tests it only seems to display the name of the caller if it from a mobile (and then not always). If I call it from my home number it doesn't display it.

I tried ensuring all the numbers have +44 (for the UK) at the start & drop the leading zero off the area code but that doesn't seem to do it.

Another thing, I have an SPV C500 & that has a very useful feature - profiles that you can set for indide, outside, meetings etc. But try as I might I can't find the equivalent on the M500 - which seems very strange!

any help would be greatly appreciated, as other than these items (and one hard reset so far) I think it's a great device!

Haven't had any problems with Caller ID personally, could it be that the callers number appears in more than one Contact? (I would have expected the first contact to been shown though)

There really aren't any profiles in PPCPE, but there is an app called PPCProfiles Pro, which I think is now free.

Thanks chucky, yes my C500 shows the first name if a couple have the same number. Doesn't seem to work the same on the M500.

I have a Qtwk S110 (1 week old) and had the same problem.

Did a test on a mobile number and removed the +44 and put back the zero and it worked fine. Also landline number worked fine anyway.

Then had the long job of going through outlook to change all the mobile numbers, right pain in the butt ;)

Everything is fine now so can't complain to much.

Would also recommend PPCprofile Pro, its superb, especially because it is free :)
