Trying to remember a film title

[Guest Palindrome]

During the 80s I vaguely remember watching a film about a group of people who plan to steal some treasure (or something they deem valuable) from a large room containing a load of deadly traps. The only memory I have, that I've been using to search IMDB.com, is of people hanging from the ceiling trying to navigate the traps. It's driving me crazy trying to think of the title. :)

i was thinking of cube too!! 'cept it's not about treasure, more escaping alive...

that movie was the lowest budget ever!! all they did was change the lighting to make you think it was a different part of the cube!! same set, just a different 60W bulb!!

this may be a bit silly but maybe your thinking of The Goonies. Its just a suggestion?

It's not Cube, which I know and like, and the film was definitely for adults, probably a 15 or 18 rating so that rules out the Goonies.

The action I remember took place in a large room were the team took position at one end of the room with the treasure (or whatever it was) at the far end. Inbetween was an array of traps or deadly devices they had to bypass by suspending and moving themselves along the ceiling of the room. It may have taken place in a house surrounded by snow but my mind may be making that up or mixing it up with another ill-remembered film.

Yeah, it was definitely a film made in the 70s, or more likely the 80s. I hope that it's not well known, like Indiana Jones, as if it was I would get seriously worried about the state of my memory. :)

I know what film you are talking about Palindrome, I don't remember the title either but I remember watching it in the early 80's when I was around 7-8 years old. I also remember they had a cheesy mock-up of the place they were robbing and dropping a feather in the mock-up showing how it could set off the alarm. I also remember them making it across the ceiling and putting on a crown and the person's head spinning around. I also think there was an amulet type thing that flies around a room causing all sorts of destruction and the only way to stop it is they had to squeeze it in their hand and wrap it up in a cloth. Sorry I don't remember the movie, only bits and pieces of the movie.
