custom file installing after hard & soft reset

I want to slim down the files on my M500 but don't want to go along the bigmemory rom line (yet)

So I have done the soft & hard reset thing here http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=...hl=reset+memory

and have got to the installing files stage here http://www.modaco.com/Orange_Extended_ROM_...el-t225152.html

The .cab files such as OEM_Camera-9650_05032301.CAB install fine but what do I do with the .exe files such as AutoLock.exe?

And then what do I do with the extended rom folder once I've installed everything, can it be deleted?

Can you delete the Extended_ROM folder when you've finished with it?? :??:
