Guest pkruger Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Hello every one! I bought a 512mb SD card for my i-mate SP3. The problem is that the video recorder fails to record any video clips to the card, giving a memory error. I read somewhere that the latest Orange ROM fixes this problem, so I downloaded the RUU_1.02_OrangeUK_v4.2.1.1_Ship.exe file, and flashed my phone. The flash worked, but the video recording error is still there, and I want to revert back to the i-mate ROM RUUv1.00Inst1.5.33.11_CDL_SKU1_1.1.131.158.exe. I tried using TyphoonNBFTools, but I can not install cert.cab, since my phone is now application locked. I can not install any of my local operator settings (CAB file) or some of my purchased apps, because of the application lock. I now realize (obviously to late) that it was really dumb to flash my phone, and I hope someone can help me to get my phone back to the i-mate ROM. Thanks in advance, Pieter
Guest Xenzo1990 Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Yes it was a dumb thing to do. The Orange ROM has a higher ROM version number than the i-mate one, so I don't think the EXE installer will work. You should have backed up your rom first. The only way 'i' am aware of going back a rom is to get the ROM in a .bin version and there is a tool that lets you flash ROMs using .bins. This is all I know from when I upgraded to WM5, and couldn't go back :)
