SPV E100 and O2 (MSN Messenger)

I have a SPV E100 which I am using on Orange pay as you go. I intend to SIM unlock the handset so that I can use an O2 pay as you go SIM card in it.

Can somebody please confirm whether or not MSN Messenger on the phone can be used on O2 network as I seem to recall reading somewhere that it may not?

Also, is there any other application (native or otherwise) which will not work if I move over to O2?

i have o2 sim in mine. Tho mine is contract. But everything works ok for me

I am fairly certain that it won't work on O2 PAYG, only contract.

Sorry I had to edit my previous post.

I got it to work but realised it was actually connecting via 'Pass Through Connection' of my PC. I then disconnected from cradle and then MSN Messenger connection dropped.

Therefore, I guess it will probably only work on contract o2 phones only.

That's good news! I'm sure I read in another thread that they had blocked the ports necessary for messenger on O2 PAYG but obviously I'm wrong.

Sorry Confucious I take it all back. It was my error (see above).

Wonder why they would block the ports on O2 PAYG?? Must be money again...
