Hello,

My mpx200 doesn't startup/charge anymore. I didn't do anything wrong with it, battery just went dead during the night and didn't want to charge anymore the next morning.

My friend has an mpx200 to and I've tried his battery with no succes. It doesn't do anything, no usb detection either.

Is this a fuse problem? And if it is, has anyone ever changed it succesfully?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I had the same problem a few weeks ago and I've had to hard reset my mpx200

you have to Press and Hold the blue action key and power key at the same time for longer and you will see a menu asking if you want to do a hard reset.

if you do this you wil format your whole telephone and the standard software will be installed again.

I hope this will help you:) good luck

grts.

Yes, I know how to do a hard reset but the problem is that the phone doesn't do anything anymore. It is completely dead

I've noticed something strange about my cellphone too, it is a bit heavier than my friend his mpx200 (same battery and no sd card).

What could be that extra weight? Its made a few weeks after my friend's.

I would like to know if someone actually succeeded in repairing a fuse problem manually...

I don't beleive the MPX200 has a fuse. If it does, it almost certain that it is not user servicable. I am currently staring at the circuit board of an MPX220 (more advanced, but similar) that I just ran over with my car (don't ask) and there is no fuse to be found.

My guess is that something inside the phone shorted out and ruined the circuit board. Most likely this is a fatal injury...kind of like my poor MPX220.....

The MPX200 does have an internal 0.5A fuse it's marked with an F which helps :)

this actually gives the rating for a surface mounted fuse.

It is only servicable if you are very good with a soldering iron and have very good eyesight.

This is the guide HERE to taking the phone apart.
