Yes, that set up linked by Pzee works well.

I find that Pocket Controller (commercial software) gives a higher framerate than the free remote viewer, which may be useful.

Camtasia is another alternative to SoftCam. I'm not sure which I prefer. I think it may use less CPU, but I could be imagining it - I haven't performed any real atesting.
