Sim Unlock French SPR C500

I inadvertently bought a french C500. I have application and Sim unlocked it but it still will not work with my Orange Sim.

Does anyone know of another way to COMPLETELY unlock the phone so that it will accept my sim - don't mind paying as I am at the end of my teather!

What method did you use to SIM unlock the phone and did you actually enter the unlock code ?

What exactly happens when you insert the Orange SIM ?

I used the sim unlock tool from spv-developers.com.

When I switch the phone on with the orange sim in it boots but just says "Denied. Searching..."

Is there a website that ill give me a "full unlock" code?

In my experience that means either the simcard has been deactivated or the handset has been blacklisted... if so I hope you've got some comeback from who you bought it from...

nope - no comeback. Bought it off Ebay - cash only guy!

Thing is that I think it is a French Orange phone and my French (Bouygtel) sim card works in it. Have checked with orange in the uk and they say the phone is not blacklisted. The sim works in my E200.

Any other suggestions?

Thing is a simlocked phone wouldn't function with the incorrect sim in it (it would stick on a screen telling you it was locked) and certainly wouldn't result in the message you mention. It wouldn't get that far...

So guess the fault must be something else.

Maybe a hard reset? That's assuming the fault is in the operating system/rom...

My C500 / C550 say Denied. Searching... when I have no signal in my house and turn the phone on. When it finds a signal it works fine. Could it just be no signal where you are? Have you tried leaving it to see if it finds a dignal? Have you checked to make sure it is on auto network selection?

Best thing to do is to contact Orange and ask if the phone has been blocked.

Hopefully this is not the case but quite often you get ebay scammers that sell blocked phones. The reason for blocking can be that the phone has been reported lost, stolen or there is an outstanding bill to pay.

he, i've since 1 week a spv c500. works fine but i like 2 unlock it 2. so, i downloaded the sim-unlock tool from here. its recognizing my phone but as soon as i want to unlock it, i get an error message. like this: unknow error -2147467259 in read operation.

does this look simular?

i did app unlock my phone before and works perfictly...
