Guest AaronSoup Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Looking through the Argos catalogue for wedding gifts (Argos Gift List is an insanely good idea), I happened upon an SD Plus card... http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/s...&clickfrom=name It's just an SD card that hinges down and then plugs directly into a pc... It would be very useful when at work, given the fact i'm not allowed to ActiveSync my phone, and also it's not particularly practical to carry around a long-ass USB lead even if I was to find a way to sync my phone at work. I don't imagine it would be a problem, but are there any problems with using these cards in an MDA Compact/HTC Magician???
Guest ah5150 Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 The 1GB Sandisk SD+ card from argos is the same price as MobyMemory's 2GB Sandisk Ultra II SD card. You can make your Magician (and Compact i think as well) into a USB mass storage device (no activesync req.) HERE. Yes, you'd need a USB cable - but they're ten a penny anyway (i've got loads) - keep one @ home and 1 @ work. OR You could get a USB card reader - £6.99 from MobyMemory. I'd go for the 1st USB emulation, as i imagine you'd see the whole directory of the phone and the memory card (i haven't shelled out for this yet so i'm not 100%). Hope this helps, Drew
