Guest xerxes Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Can anyone point me to a codec that will enable Betaplayer to play the videos I record using the C500 video camera? Thanks to some advice from the very helpful people on this forum, Betaplayer has become my default media player and I would like to be able to play my own clips in the same player. Thanks, Xerxes
Guest smeg36 Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Just an FYI, there is a newer version of the program which has been renamed to TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player). You can't really download codecs for it, the author has to include them when he creates the program. The best way I know of to play movies recorded on the phone is to change the file type that you save them as. I always used motion jpeg .avi (or something like that), and it plays find in TCPMP.

Actually, with 0.66, you don't even need to change the file extension. You can open them directly from the TCPMP menu. Or you can use SmartExplorer to manage file types so that .mp4 files are opened with TCPMP. Or even easier. you can go into SmartExplorer, highlight the file and select File, Open, Open With, and select TCPMP Edited August 30, 2005 by xerxes
