Better camera on Nokia 3200 than C500?

I dont believe what I have seen yesterday! I thought that all cameras are so choppy when u are in night mode, but friend of mine showed me his 3200 and he had better image quality in standart mode than I had in night mode, I didnt see anything on c500, but he had beautiful bright pictures. And what is the worst thing that recording videos at night is impossible due to choppy sometimes almost slideshow camera view. So my question is: Do all C500 have so bloody night mode or only mine and is there any beter camera software that could solve this problem?
