Guest penfold2k4 Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Upgraded to M500 and been waiting for SIM update to arrive for ages with no help from Orange. Heres what happened: When got new phone home.....stuck it on charge and didnt touch it overnight. In morning ran through the alignment process and loading all the software and then waited for it to say that I had a new msg but this didnt happen. Several phone calls and more than 24 hrs later Orange advising me to keep it turned off and keep checking every hour for SIM update. Guy in Orange shop said that I would have to physically remove and replace battery to truly turn the phone off. As I understand, if I switch the phone to Flight Mode this switched the phone off doesnt it? Is it enough to keep flicking from Flight Mode on to off to check for the SIM update? Or do I have to keep taking the battery out? Thanks!
Guest Xenzo1990 Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 I left mine in and just used the power button. I had it in no time. * Answered this for future reference *
