ringtones are not loud enough!

Heya,

I think the sound level is too low on each of the ringtones on my SPV C550 aka HTC Hurricane. My last phone was a Sony Ericsson T610. All the ringtones were louder, but the "Digirain" ringtone CRANKED. I need a loud ringtone so I can hear it over my gym's loud-ass music, and when walk into another part of the apartment while my C550 is still buried under the bed sheets. Yes I sleep with my baby lol :)

Any ideas on getting louder ringtone playback?

One thing you could try is to set to volume of your wav/mp3 higher.

The programms that can do this are usually used to put all you mp3 on the same volume level, so that you don't have the adjust the volume again and again for each song.

I used, Mp3Gain

but if you look around, i'm sure you could find others.

If you want to use wav, you should first convert it to mp3 i think, but other programms should work on Wav as well.

how to use:

run, Add file, set volume (default is 89 bB, so atleast go above that), and apply (track gain)

have you tryed editing the 'normal' profile and changing the volume stetting?

start>settings>profiles ,menu>edit.

Ricardo: yes, ringtone playback is on "loud", the highest setting on the active profile.

SilverDragon: Ok this sounds :) like a solution, but definitely more of a hassle than it should be.

Does anyone else think the loudest setting isn't loud enough?

Download a program lik Audacity and increase the gain of your ringtone. Don't go to high or it'll sound like crap
