Neat. Love the homemade connector, kind of thing I would have done myself a few years ago!! 8)

Check out Maplins/RS or Tandy, they sell these kind of connectors for pennies.

My hand twitched when I was soldering mine, got solder over EVERY track on it!!!

Went down Maplins and got a solder sucker and some desoldering braid, phew it got it off (only had this cradle a month or so!)

What worked for me was as a tip, to 'tin' the wire (by running it through solder on the iron tip), wiping the solder tip down so no excess of solder on it, then placing the tinned wire on the track and applying a dab (only little dab needed) of heat on top of the wire.

Hope that helps anyone who's been in my unfortunate position!!

(PS have been and got one of those retractable USB cables, EXCELLENT especially if you use a laptop on the move, you know how other commuters get annoyed with just a laptop on a train table, let alone a cradle with phone too (that can be swiped out the cradle if you dont watch it), this way I can keep the phone put away and still use it on laptop).
