developing homescreen plugin

i'm new to windows mobile programming...

i know how to use c++ and vb and stuff but never programmed for smartphone...

i want to make some homescreen plugins, but i don't have any idea where to begin...

can anybody please show me a source of a simple homescreen plugin that

just shows some output, like: "Hello cruel world" on the homescreen?

Great to hear your having a go ;)

If you download the evc++ dev system and the smartphone sdk + all the patches you will get a wealth of sample source as well.
