c500 & network searching problems

I've had my c500 for about 4 months now and everything's been great with no problems! I recently went to France and called orange to activate roaming and have been having some serious problems with finding networks.

I was only over in France for 4 days and my phone battery died within the first day due to the phone always searching for a network (my friends phone k750i lasted the entire trip and was only 50% down with full network coverage)

I'm now having serious problems back in the UK trying to connect to Orange. It will occaisionally find the network with the 4 bars of reception but after about an hour it will lose connection and rarely connect back.

I tried updating to the latest firmware but I'm still having the same problems.

Have you called Orange to see if they have screwed up your settings their end some how when they activated roaming?

Just got off the phone with orange and they said to manually choose orange as the prefered network (rather than the automatic selection under settings/phone/networks)

I'm still getting no service after 5-10 minutes from connecting to the network :)

One of their techies are going to phone back as they think it could be a problem with the phone!
