Guest gujuguy67 Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 Is it possible to have the speakerphone stay on when the phone is closed? My v600 used to and I loved the fact that I didn't have to keep it open. Thanks in advance.
Guest Alphacompton Posted September 20, 2005 Report Posted September 20, 2005 Is it possible to have the speakerphone stay on when the phone is closed? My v600 used to and I loved the fact that I didn't have to keep it open. Thanks in advance. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey I don't know if you found a way to use the speakerphone while closed yet ( I doubt it) Motorola made a brave but useless move by not being able to naturally use the speakerphone with the phone closed. anyway You can do it, I've spent my afternoon searching the internet and I'm proud to say that I can tell you how to do it. 1. Download a mobile screen saver or PocketCandy 2. Install the screen saver to your phone and change the last 3 characters which is the extension from .scr to .exe 3. Use a registry editing program for your smartphone and change what the home button does, this can be found by [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\KeyBd] and from that point change it to where you have your screen saver saved. "HomeKeyAppName"="\path of executable\aquarium.exe" Now while in a call press and hold the home button and the screen saver should appear and if you close the phone at that point the call will not end. I'm only 19 and after reading so much about what people do I'm glad I can contribute something to the development of this phone, I personally think this phone is the best. Thanks to Howards Forums, for having the info, and thanks to MoDaCo for letting me post this.
Guest zapata Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Great info from Alphacompton..!!! Has anyone tried this...???
Guest dj_hazard Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 I couldn't find the key to make the home button to launch the screensaver, but if during a call (speakerphone) I run the screensaver from a shurtcut I made in start menu, YOU CAN SHUT THE PHONE AND IT REALLY WORKS!! Great Info Alphacompton! :)
