I was wondering of there is a way to save sent SMS messages?

For some reason the sent SMS's dont get saved on my SPV c500 or SPV c550. Is there a way to save them?

Also, is there a way to save the SENT and RECEIVED SMS's to a different directory (maybe a registry hack?).

Thanks in advance to all you Smartphone Guru's (and sorry if I missed this in another thread, but I did search)

Go into ur 'INBOX', hit MENU/OPTIONS/SENDING...eh voila saved 'SENT MESSAGES'. I think this will also apply to ur MMS messages as well. To delete ur sent messages, whilst in 'INBOX' goto MENU/FOLDERS highlight 'sent items' then hit MENU/CLEAR MESSAGES. Beware tho, this method does not move the deleted items to your 'DELETED ITEMS'. If you choose to delete a text/mms message whilst in the 'INBOX' folder, only then will it move it to 'DELETED ITEMS'. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for that, but is there also a way of saving copies of sent and received SMS's locally in another folder on the phone?

Would this be hard to write an application to do this?

I've not heard of anything that will do that specifically but there are various SMS management application for the PC.

Handango & Smartphone.net will have them - Jeyo's Mobile Extender etc spring to mind - and you could look on Airfagev for freeware alternatives.

Then again there is AllExport which is on this forum somewhere.

Sorry I can't be more helpfull :o
