Activesync Internet Passthrough

ok... i can activesync my c550 through bluetooth.

i now want to use my internet from my pc on my phone but no matter what method i try, it always says the page you are looking for cannot be found :| !!

im using a c550 and activesync 4 .. i have searched and found so many methods on this site but none have succeded so PLEASE can anyone help me before i eat my c500 :x :)

I have a C550 and activesync 4 and it doesn't it automatically. I was looking for the tick box like in AS3.7 but couldn't see it.

Make sure your firewall is allowing activesync to connect to the internet.

w411y, I use a C550, conencted via AS4 to a XP Pro machine, I had to change the Internet Connection setting to Automatic, under Data Connections in the Setting menu. I also changed AS4's setting for 'This Computer is Connected to' Automatic, under File Menu, Connections Settings, Which sometimes takes a while to appear, and occaisonally seems to wait until the next time I connect/disconnect the 550.

Sorry if you already have these settings set, one other thing worth mentioning, if you have a proper firewall installed, consider completely disabling Windows built in firewall. (Check the Properties, advanced tab, Windows Firewall Settings for whichever connection your PC uses for net connectivity.)

appreciate the replies guys and i finally got it working :o

i disabled norton auto-protect aswell as the firewall but when i tried it was still sayin the page cannot be found. When i tried to AS with Norton on, a pop up asked me to either permit or block AS connecting to the internet and it now works!!
