Saw this on PPCThoughts I think....then on the above site. Program that allows MS Virtual Earth on the PocketPC.

I looked at the two menu screenshot and thought I'd give it a shot installing on the Smartphone. It works like it was made for it! :)

A bit slow over GPRS....but still cool.

do i need an internet connection on my phone to use this program? or are the maps installed on the phone itself?

You need an internet connection. I've been playing around just using the pass-through. Pretty cool so far.

I am so irritated. Of course I downloaded the program. Then it tells me the usual b.s. "not digitally signed with a trusted certificate". Unreal. I can't win no matter what. I have searched through 6 iden websites and can't find the answer to this.

Always the certificate problem

You need to application unlock your phone. Which phone do you have?

Forget it, I see you have the Nextel.

I dont know if the methods for HTC devices works on that but do a search here for "Application Unlock" and it will lead you to the method and files needed.

I have the 930.. I like toys and had to buy it....

Nextel had being Decertify so we don't have that problem any more

The name was changed to VirtualEarth. Copy the CAB file to your phone and run it. Here is the link.
