Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Where are you storing your ringtones? Is it in Storage\Application data\Sounds
Guest dragonaut Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Where are you storing your ringtones? Is it in Storage\Application data\Sounds <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yep.. but I guess it's something about wav's...I downloaded the windows media encoder and wma's play almost inmediately, and wav's take like 7 seconds to load
Guest trendmonster Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 (edited) wav's take like 7 seconds to load <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WAVs are huge and uncompressed, that's why. Edited October 13, 2005 by trendmonster
Guest cold_fire Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 WAVs are huge and uncompressed, that's why. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> .. and depending on their size this time to lod may b bigger ,i suggest u use .wma as ringtones as compresion is good and so is quality ...
Guest m1.carson Posted October 15, 2005 Report Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) Yep, I agree with that, use WMA, get a small conversion program like Jet Audio, you can load all your WAV files into it on the PC and let it run, plus you can make them smaller during the convert. I've screwed up again, my MPx only uses WAV files for ringtones, you need the full version of Jet to trim them down to about a meg, 8 seconds approx. of play, just had to check it.
