Guest cobbettsuper Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I own a 1GB mp3 player and it has been working fine until the other day when i tried to add and delete files but now it comes up with a message saying 'this disk is write-protected, please remove the write-protection or use another disk' i don't understand why that has started to happen but i would like to know if there is any way to get rid of that message or anything! Please, this mp3 player cost a lot, i would be grateful if anyone has any answers for me.
Guest SilentlyScreaming Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 can you post a link to your MP3 player model - basic info should help trouble shoot...

Guest SilentlyScreaming Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 (edited) Quick google reveals your player may have its own write protect lock, can you check the case for one, might need to check your manual out? If no joy, apparently Eigler labs are the same company as MPMan, or maybe jut rebadged products, so might be worth googling them with your error message as 2nd term... [edit] I checked your manual - available here, couldn't find any reference to a write protect tab/switch. Maybe try companies support form? Edited September 4, 2005 by SilentlyScreaming
Guest cobbettsuper Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I just checked for the lock and that was the problem! Thank you so much! :o
