Guest Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Hello, lacking yet a separate Tornado forum (Paul, what about installing one ?) I'm posting that here: Which Backup software works properly with a Tornado phone (WM 5) ?
Guest Pondrew Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Wow. Dunno anyone around here has got their hands on one yet. And given it's not out yet and the early release testers tend to have to sign non disclaimer agreements I'm not sure they'd be able to reply if they had... Moved to Smartphone Main until the new section is opened.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I think you're first on here to have one! :o Which model do you have? P

Guest Jamma14 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I've looked at these...sp5m looks impressive... but which of these is the best and most dependable, orange's HTC, or imate? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HTC make almost all the smartphones apart from the motorola ones and the recent samsung ones. Qtek, I-mate, Orange, O2, Dopod etc are all HTC phones with different branding and cases etc. :o
Guest Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 No. I can't confirm this. I have Spritesoftware's Backup for Smartphone in the latest release version. This works fine on Windows Mobile 2003, but it aborts with an error message on my Qtek 8300 (Windows Mobile 5). Also the backup file seems a bit too small, though I do not want to try it out for restore due to the error message received. I guess Sprite Software needs to adapt it to WM5. How about these pics?? http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/review/htc-tornado-en.shtml <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest Pagemakers Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Sprite does not work on WM5. They told me a couple of days ago they hope to have a version ready in a few weeks.
