Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 ANyone know how i can keep the same icons on the "desktop" of my phone insetad of them chaging all the time. ( the icons that change everytime you go on a diff propgram ) btw does anyone also know how i can have a menu like this ( look below)
Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 bump let me rephase dat: well is it possible for me to keep the incons the same?
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Ah perhaps you mean using the 'grid' style menu instead of the regular MRU list? If thats what you are after, then have a look at these threads: http://www.modaco.com/Mayhem_s_Grid_Icons-t204601.html http://www.modaco.com/ICONS_mark_ii-t205471.html
Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 hey thanks for your time :-) been waiting long time.. a day!!
Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 isnt it possible to have the menu iconed? because i really need my homescreen because i wanted the appoinments being big and bold and i really like the homescreen anyway
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 Examine the XML. There are 4x4 icons (thus 16 shortcuts) before the Calendar plugin. I think you can use for example only 4 icons but you have to adjust the size of the rest of the plugins you wish to include in your homescreen (calendar, SMS etc)
Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 thnks you know anythin about the other topic
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 No prob. I will ask one of the 'grid style' authors (da_mayhem) to assist here. Better to have inputs from the authors themselves. :o
Guest da_mayhem Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 isnt it possible to have the menu iconed? because i really need my homescreen because i wanted the appoinments being big and bold and i really like the homescreen anyway <{POST_SNAPBACK}> @inlinesk8a So you want the Grid Style Homescreen with the Calendar Plugin beneath the icons? Well pzee is right, you need to adjust the spaces vertically inbetween those icon plugins (look for the XML) and make up space for the Calendar plugin below..or much better, since it has 16 icons, (4x4) you can delete the last icon plugin so you could make more space for your Calendar plugin, and make it big and bold! 3x4 icons would do (12 icons). @pzee - eto pala yun pare, thanks. :o

Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 oh my you did this for me tyvm
Guest confused and hungover Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 (edited) oh my you did this for me tyvm <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LOL, yeah... you should have a go yourself, play around with the Xml file a bit. you can open it in notepad and mess about with the settings, then save it, load it on to your phone and see what happens. the first few times you'll end up with cr*p all over the place but eventually you learn what all the individual things do. "after a while you don't see the code at all..... just blonde, brunette...." Edited September 6, 2005 by confused and hungover

Guest confused and hungover Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 how do i install it?? iv put all teh files in the "home" folder and the icones iii opttion isnt there <{POST_SNAPBACK}> so when you go to start-settings-homescreen, there is no file available? in mine it shows up as ICONS mark ii. do you have all the plugins installed? are the colour scheme and background image set to default? which phone do you have?
Guest confused and hungover Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 c500 what plugins?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> RJ shortcut for example, although whether or not the homescreen shows up in the list shouldn't be affected by missing plug ins. did you definatly unzip the file then open the folder inside and transfer the individual files (not the whole folder) to storage/aplication data/home?
Guest inlinesk8a Posted September 6, 2005 Report Posted September 6, 2005 ohh i send the fiels one by one? not teh whole folder
