Can I run apps or themes on my desktop?

is there any program that i can run on my windows XP laptop which will mimic my SMT5600 smartphone. By this i mean i want to run apps or install a theme and view it all on my computer without transferring it to my phone b/c that is risky and takes too long and its a hassle when i put a theme on and then i don't like it to uninstall it. when i was browing the internet i came across a program that did this but i can't find the link or remember the name. any help would be appreciated! thanks

If you go onto the developers side of Microsoft.com you can download the SDK (Software Development Kit) for Smartphone 2003SE. This includes an emulator for a generic smartphone that allows you to try things out without actually putting them onto your phone.

It's not the quickest thing to run, and I think you need some sort of cable to be able to install files onto the emulator through your Activesync, so in truth it's probably easier and quicker to just try it on the phone and keep that "Remove Programs" option handy!
