Guest scottt Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 (edited) The WL-HDD will change your perception on data storage. This latest hard disk drive box enables wireless file sharing through 802.11g OFDM technology for fast data transfer at 54Mbps. It is backwards compatible with 802.11b devices and can be adopted in wired enviroments as well. Hard drive for pocket pc Would be good for holidays or to even to store music in your car. Any reasons why this won't work ? Edited September 5, 2005 by scottt
Guest fraser Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 It should work, in conjunction with one of the tools that let you browse windows file shares on the phone: Access HDD through the Neighborhood function in Windows or Samba in Linux. However, I run a linux box and I suspect that this may also be running Linux. I could not get the phone to talk to the samba file shares on my box, your milage may vary.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 That is one neat bit of kit! Seems veyr reasonable at 50 quid too when it also functions as an AP... P
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 ...but it doesn't include a hard disk, so you've got to add another £50+ (?) for that
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 I have a couple of 2.5" disks kicking around... P
